On Sunday the 14th of november 2010 the folk-group POLJANCI had its already traditional folk-afternoon. This year’s theme was “With Croatian through Europe”. The whole year long the POLJANCI had prepared a new and interesting programme full of variety.
The audience was very pleased with the new songs in Croatian an other European languages. This year’s Burgenland motto is “The Burgenland dances”. Several projects and performances have been organized to motivate every age for dancing.
The POLJANCI have taken part in these activities. They organized two dancing-evenings with Hungarian-German dances and one with southern-Slavic dances. The performance of the Hungarian-German Miller’s dance enthused the audience.
The folk-group Anno ’93 from Vienna, invited as guests, performed Slavonic dances and the Linđo, a dance from the area around Dubrovnik. The original costumes caused a bright and colourful picture. The full cultural centre and an enchanted audience showed once again that the invitation to a folk-afternoon is worth while.
